BEERS NOW ON TAP

HaverAle
4.5% ab
v 18 ibu

Our award-winning cream ale is delicious light ale with plenty of flavor.  Ferments warm for a fruity nose and then stored cold for a crisp, dry finish. This is one nicely balanced beer. A great introduction to what we do!

Leatherlips I.P.A.
 5% abv, 50 ibu

Hold onto your hats, or even better - your lips!  This beer is for hop-heads only.  Ripe with floral and citrus notes, our "India pale ale" is so packed with Centennial, Newport and Nugget hops it should be green (the color of hops). Hop to the challenge!

Homerun APA
6%  abv, 38 ibu

Want some hops but to still keep your taste buds intact?  This American Pale Ale is the choice for you.  With light floral notes and a good dose of Glacier hops, this well-balanced APA is a great step up if you want to graduate your palate.  It's also great with fried seafood and burgers.

Whittier White
4.6% abv, 20 ibu

Cloudy because of the raw wheat used and yeast in suspension, this delicious ale is light, refreshing, a little bit tart and spiced with coriander, curacao orange peel, and a top secret brewing spice. This is our rendition of a Belgian wit and it's perfect on a hot summer day or with a bowl of mussels.

Beerstand Berliner Weiss
3% abv, 4 ibu

This Berliner Weiss bier has a nice acidic tartness that is naturally produced by a technique called "sour-mashing".  It's a light, refreshing German Wheat Ale that is served straight, or with a splash of Raspberry or Woodruff syrup in it - let your server know if you'd like the syrup in it!  This beer is based upon a recipe by our friends Marc and Lars who won the Topsfield Fair Homebrew Competition with it.

Schnappi Alt
4.8% abv, 40 ibu

This hoppy German altbier-style ale has the crispness of a German lager, the hoppy punch of a pale ale, and the malt backbone of a Brown.   It's a unique combination of flavors that is almost exclusively brewed in the Dusseldorf area of Germany.  We also checked with a German Alt expert, who said this beer made him homesick!  It's named after a beloved German cartoon Crocodile.

Nico Kolsch
4.4% abv, 23 ibu

This traditional German Kolsch is a unique and refreshing brew.  It's one of the rare ales still brewed in Germany and can legally only be brewed in the area near Cologne.  This is an ale wants to be a lager.  It ferments with an ale yeast at lower temperatures than most ales and then is lagered (stored cold) for over two months to give it a very smooth and clean flavor.  It's nicely refreshing and perfect for the warm weather!

Absacker Weizenbock

7.4% abv, 25 ibu

This ale is a traditional German Weizenbock (or wheat beer brewed to bock-like strength).  It has a complex spiciness from the yeast and a complex malt character from a grist of 50% Munich Malt and 50% malted wheat.  It also has a mild alcohol kick.  In Germany, the "Absacker" is the last drink at the bar, but you never know which Absacker will actually be the last one!
